The 2007 Naples High School Football team, which was headed by 29 seniors, broke the record books big this year. The defense set the record for lowest points allowed at 52 points in the regular season. The offense set the record for the most points scored in the regular season at 443. On top of all those regular season acomplishments they did tons of damage in the post season. The Eagles scratched and clawed their way through the playoffs. Demolishing Labelle in the first round 58-13 and andvancing to the second round. In the second round the Eagles met up with Immokalee again, a cross town rival who they defeated earlier in the season 38-0. They managed to take care of business 17-5. Then came the rematch of the 2006 Regional Finals. Belle Glades was coming to town again to face the Golden Eagles for the Regional Championship. After a hard fought battle by both teams the Eagles ended up on top 27-24 the closest game the Eagles have played in all year and earning their self a spot in the State Semi-Finals. The Eagles would have to go on the road to face Cocoa which they did and won after another close conest 28-21. The Eagles were on their way to another State Finals appearance. It was the first appearance in 4 years. The Eagles faced the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets a team that almost mirrored the Eagles. A tough defense, big wideouts, and talented running backs. The Eagles got the better of St. Augustine capitalizing on all the mistakes the Yellow Jackets made winning the 2007 3A State Championship 17-10 on there way to a perfect 15-0 season and a 3A State Crown.
